Highlights

• Built an internal, mobile-first flexible workforce management platform from scratch, empowering employees to proactively handle check-ins/outs, book leaves, and report late arrivals directly from their phones.
• Designed a scalable proxy architecture using NestJS as the API gateway and authentication layer, bridging the mobile client with the company’s legacy core system written in PHP (Yii2).
• Implemented strict business logic to guarantee HR data integrity and consistency across the architecture, effectively preventing issues like leave balance discrepancies and overdrafting.
• Engineered an automated, real-time notification pipeline integrating with the internal chat tool (Mattermost) to broadcast schedule changes and late arrival alerts to the entire team.
• Developed a smart location-based check-in algorithm that automatically detects and suggests the nearest office branch within a 1km radius. Designed the location validation to be flexible, recording coordinates without rigidly restricting check-ins to exact premises to foster a trust-based culture.
• Streamlined the deployment cycle utilizing GitLab CI and CapRover to ensure rapid releases, high API availability, and a seamless end-user mobile experience.
